The Wine Society - celebrating 150 years

2024 marks 150 years of The Wine Society. To celebrate, we’re hosting our biggest-ever programme of tastings exhibitions and events. We look forward to raising a glass with you!

Davy's wine tastings and winemaker dinners

Davy’s walk around tastings are at the heart of our events calendar and a fantastic opportunity to try a wide range of styles, including Davy’s perennial favourites alongside some wonderful classics from old and new world and our latest arrivals. We host various walkaround tastings throughout the year taking place at some of London’s most prestigious venues such as Vintners’ Hall, 67 Pall Mall and the Royal Over-Seas’ League, St James’s.

TASTINGS AND PRIVATE EVENTS

At the Winemaker’s Club we strive to hold tastings that are inclusive to everyone.

We have two tasting event options for you.

Our private tastings are for groups from ten people on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Saturdays. These wine tastings are quite informal and as such we are able to cater for inexperienced to experienced wine tasters. The fixed price per head is £35. We include mixed boards of charcuterie and cheese to pair with six wines.

If you’re a group of under 10 people, don’t worry!

The Searcys Bubbly Show at the Carlton House 26th and 27th April

Get ready to raise your glasses high and pop those corks at The Bubbly Show by Searcys – a two-day extravaganza celebrating all things fizz! On Friday, 26th and Saturday, 27th April 2024, we will once again be taking over the stunning {10-11} Carlton House Terrace, just off Pall Mall, to showcase the finest Champagne houses, small growers, and English sparkling wine producers.

Discover the world of sparkling delights with delicious tastings, talks, Searcys Champagne afternoon tea, and masterclasses that will leave you feeling like a true connoisseur. FOODIES FESTIVAL – the UK’s biggest touring celebrity food and music festival series – announces a spectacular return to London across the May Bank Holiday Weekend

Foodies Festival returns to Syon Park, London, from 25th–27th May, with brand new features and a star-studded line-up of celebrity chefs and chart-topping music stars, including: Blue, Sister Sledge and the exhilarating Symphonic Ibiza Orchestra with live vocals and DJ. 

Known as Gastro-Glastonbury, the three-day event will feature live cooking demonstrations from TV celebrities and chefs drawn from the ranks of MasterChef, Great British Bake Off and Great British Menu.

Early announcements, include: MasterChef champions Tom Rhodes and Dhruv Baker, MasterChef: The Professionals champion, Alex Webb, MasterChef 2023 finalist, Omar Foster, Great British Bake Off finalist, Sandro Farmhouse, and Channel 4’s Sunday Brunch bread expert, Jack Sturgess

Visitors can browse the latest food trends in the Shopping Village, meet local producers in the Artisan Market and taste exotic and unusual new dishes in the Feasting Tent – which features a mouth-watering range of street food and delicacies from all four corners of the globe. 

Other new features and exciting attractions include: TV Chef battles, Fire Pit BBQ sessions, Cook School with experts, Silent Disco, Mad Hatter’s Tea Party, Chilli Eating competitions featuring the current world champion, fairground rides, walk about artists, drum troops, choirs, children’s activities and family-friendly areas. Throughout the weekend, the Music Stage presents a summer soundtrack of chart-topping artists, top tribute acts, covers bands and superb local bands. 

For the fifth year running, the festival is supporting Musicians Against Homelessness (MAH) with tickets helping to raise money for UK-wide homelessness charity Crisis. 

Taste Festival Regents Park 12th-16th June

Every summer, we take over Regent’s Park for a next level food-fuelled garden party, slap bang in the centre of one of the coolest cities on earth. We’re joined by 55,000 hungry Londoners, ready to devour the best food and drink in the country.

So what’s the deal? We round up the hottest London restaurants, hunt down the future food heroes, hit up a few chefs about to launch their next big thing, and throw a festival celebrating it all. Alongside our week-long restaurants, a line-up of Daily Specials give you the chance to sample some of the city’s tastiest new concepts, popping up for one or two days only.

Pull up a seat at our Chef Demo Stage and be inspired to re-create incredible new recipes at home or keep the little ones entertained in our dedicated Kids Area with crafts, games, and more - there’s plenty for all to do.

No pub would be complete without a bar and we’ve got a ton of them – enjoy everything from cocktails to fizz, spirits to wines, and of course the very best beers.

Pick up speciality ingredients and produce from our Artisan Food Market and indulge in some retail therapy at the Shopping Village.
