All-star revue starring long-time members of Van Morrison’s band
The Van Morrison Alumni Band, a repertoire company unlike any other, features the musicians who played thousands of concerts and recorded hundreds of songs with Van Morrison, over a period of transition when Van Morrison was making some of his most successful albums including 1995’s million-selling Days Like This and 1997’s The Healing Game.
The Van Morrison Alumni Band have, between them, accompanied Van Morrison in more than 1,400 concerts around the world and have amassed more than 500 recording credits on the singer’s albums dating back several decades.
The regular band members include Leo Green (Sax), Matt Holland (Trumpet), Steve Pearce (Bass), Geoff Dunn (Drums), Robin Aspland (Piano), Jim Watson (Keys) and Matt White (Guitar). They are joined by lead vocalists Hayley Sanderson, Jess Greenfield and Wayne Hernandez, with Sophie Hiller and Tess Burrstone on backing vocals.
The Van Morrison Alumni Band is proud to be in residence at the Emerald Theatre for the entirety of this year, with performances running from January through December. Bringing the stage to life with the words and music of the legendary Sir Van Morrison, the band offers an unforgettable experience that promises to leave you uplifted and inspired.
