The Truth West End revival to star Stephen Mangan, Ardal O’Hanlon, Sarah Hadland & Janie Dee

Stephen Mangan, Ardal O’Hanlon, Sarah Hadland and Janie Dee are set to star in a West End revival of Florian Zeller’s comedy The Truth.

This major revival of Florian Zeller’s wickedly entertaining comedy will play a limited run at the West End’s Apollo Theatre from 9 June to 12 September 2026.

Directed by Lindsay Posner (A View From the Bridge), The Truth is adapted by Christopher Hampton (Les Liaisons Dangereuses), and marks a major return to the West End for Zeller’s provocative farce. It was last staged a decade ago in 2016 at the Wyndham’s Theatre, following a record-breaking run at the Menier Chocolate Factory.

Stephen Mangan (The Split, Episodes), returns to the stage following his acclaimed performance in Mike Bartlett’s Unicorn at the Garrick Theatre.

The cast also features comedy icon Ardal O’Hanlon (Father Ted, How To Get To Heaven From Belfast), Sarah Hadland (Miranda, Strictly Come Dancing, The Job Lot) and double Olivier Award-winner Janie Dee (Follies).

“Christopher Hampton’s lean and witty translation has enabled us to compile a cast to die for in this exciting return to the West End.” – Producer Simon Friend

A Masterclass in Deception

While Zeller is now globally renowned for his family triptych (The Father, The Mother, The Son), The Truth remains his most electrifying comedy achievement. Packed with Zeller’s trademark psychological insight and biting humour, the play explores the intricate politics of two couples entangled in affairs, testing the boundaries of friendship and the often-dangerous consequences of total honesty.

This new West End production of The Truth is produced by Simon Friend and Hanna Osmolska for Melting Pot in association with Gavin Kalin Productions and Fiery Dragons.

Please note this show is 90 mins long starting at 8pm with NO interval
